Staff Logins With a 6-Digit PIN — No Email, No Google Account
Your part-time host doesn't need a company email address to check a customer into the queue. They need a code they can type in three seconds on a shared tablet at the front desk.

Why most login systems don't fit a front desk
Most business software assumes one person, one device, one account, typed in once and left logged in for weeks. A host stand doesn't work that way — three or four different people might use the same tablet across a single shift, and none of them want to type a password with autocorrect fighting them while a line is forming.
Setting up individual email accounts for every part-time or seasonal staff member is also just friction the owner doesn't need — one more thing to create, reset, and eventually deactivate.
How it actually works
You add a staff member's name from Settings, and WaitLessQ generates a unique 6-digit PIN for them automatically — checked against a blacklist of obvious codes (no "123456") and checked against every other PIN in use so nobody collides. That PIN is what they type on a keypad screen to get into the dashboard. No email, no password to remember, no account creation step for them at all.
If someone forgets their PIN, you regenerate a fresh one from Settings and the old one stops working immediately. If someone leaves, you disable their PIN rather than needing to delete their whole record.
There's also basic brute-force protection built in: three wrong PIN attempts in a row locks the login for 30 seconds. It won't stop someone determined, but it stops idle guessing.
Questions people actually ask about this
When you add a staff member, WaitLessQ generates a unique 6-digit PIN automatically, checking it against a blacklist of easily guessable codes and against every other PIN already in use so two staff never end up with the same one.
You can regenerate a new PIN for them from Settings at any point — the old one stops working immediately.
After 3 incorrect attempts, the login locks for 30 seconds. It's a basic brute-force protection so someone can't just sit there guessing codes.
Yes. You can disable a staff PIN, which deactivates their access immediately, without needing to delete the staff record itself.
